Data sources and credits

Last updated: 30 October 2026

Gingerwall's reports are built from public and licensed data. Each report names the sources behind each tab, with links, and says how old the figures are. This page lists them all, with the credits their licences ask us to give.

The data is as good as its source, and some of it is several years old. For example, a school's Ofsted inspection can be years old, and police crime locations are approximate by design. Check anything that matters to your decision with the school, the council or a professional. See section 2 of our Terms.

Google MapsPublic transport journey times, nearby places, and route maps. Journey times are shown with the words "Google Maps" next to them. We may not keep them, so a kept report fetches them again when you open it
PropertyDataHomes advertised for sale and to rent, asking prices, rents and market activity. The adverts belong to the estate and letting agents who published them; we link to each one

What the sources don't cover

We do not check the data ourselves before it reaches your report, and the AI model that writes the report can make mistakes when it describes it. Where a figure is missing or out of date, the report says so.
